Conduct & Discipline
At Sunrise Modern School, the conduct and discipline of every student are of utmost importance. It is expected that all students uphold the dignity and honor of the values we cherish, behaving in a manner that reflects the school's ethos.
Discipline is not enforced through fear but cultivated through understanding and a positive attitude. Guided by Tagore’s philosophy, "Where the mind is without fear," we emphasize respect for seniors, compassion for juniors, and self-control.
A student's conduct and discipline are recorded in their report card, with specific columns for behavior grades. Any student whose conduct is found lacking, regardless of other achievements, may be asked to leave the school. These records form the foundation of the final character certificate issued to the student.
Punctuality & Cleanliness
Pupils must come to school punctually and neatly dressed. Nails should be neatly clipped, hair properly cut (no fancy hairstyles; if long hair, two ponytails/plaits only). Uniform should be washed and ironed.
In case a child is late or is not in proper uniform, they must have a letter of explanation addressed to the Principal.
